We are an Illinois DCFS Licensed Center committed to providing a Dual Language Creative Curriculum with a variety of educational activities to infants, toddlers, preschool and school-age children to help them develop and enhance a positive self-image, cognitive and communication ability, daily living, and motor skills, as well as the value of personal responsibility, cooperation, mutual care, and self-determination to do what is right.

Our Service

We serve children from 6 weeks to 12 years.
Daily Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Daily Meals: Meals and Snacks, prepared along with the Illinois State Board of Education Standards and served by Food and Sanitation Certified personnel.

Our Staff

Teachers: Bilingual teaching Staff, licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

Before and After School Care Programs

We offer children attending walking distance schools, such as Irving Public School and
St. Leonard Catholic School, after/before school services with our staff walking the children back and forth. Other schools would require bussing or self-transportation to our Center.

Our Values

We believe the child is born with a capacity to learn that must be developed and supported through the appropriate nurturing and educational guidance, experiences, and activities provided by parents, teachers, and other significant persons in the child’s life.

We believe in the contribution of research and the latest advances in psychology, as well as the arts and sciences of teaching, to achieve the ultimate goals of physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and moral development of the child.

We believe that children pass through stages of development, which occur in a predictable sequence in their physical, social/emotional, and cognitive growth.

Care is our Ministry

The Angels’ Child Development is a bilingual licensed center by the DCFS. It has been providing quality and affordable care to families living in Berwyn and the surrounding communities since 2002. The Center is open from Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

St. Michael and All Angels Parish have served Berwyn and the surrounding communities for more than one hundred and ten years. The Parish has always given special attention to children's development programs because the future of the family, community, and nation depends upon the quality of the education given to the individuals since infancy.

The Parish decided to create an infant, toddler, and preschool child care center, named The Angels’ Child Development Center. Its purpose is to provide parents with professional assistance in the care of their children in a nurturing environment that fosters educational growth and healthy development.
